Costa del Sol – one of the best places for senior citizens
Health care, low crime, climate, culture and cost of living. There are reasons that are often raised when people from different parts of the world choose to move to the Costa del Sol after retirement. Or take the community of Alcaucín as an example where one third of the municipality’s 2,300 residents over the age of 65 are retired British residents.
Now Forbes magazine has ranked a list of the best places in the world to retire after retirement. And you will find the best and most beautiful retirement life or the last lovely years, for example on the Costa del Sol, in Bilbao or on the Costa Azahar (Castellón) on the east coast of Spain.
Sunny Spain is still cheaper than much of Europe, especially if you settle a few miles from the coast or major cities. Healthcare is considered to be excellent. The crime rate is lower than elsewhere. And there are excellent opportunities for communication by air, train and roads, Forbes writes among other things.
